About us
Longoak Preschool has been established since 1986. We are situated in the village of Bursledon within our local Community Centre. We are a registered charity & provide care & education in a safe caring environment for children aged 2-5 yrs.
We have sole access to the hall, small outside patio & nature area. We are managed by a board of trustees, predominately made up of parents whose children attend preschool, bringing a community feel to our group. We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework, then use this along with ongoing discussions with parents and the extensive knowledge and experience of our staff, to plan and support each individual child's needs.
Our Vision
Our vision is to create a joyful place where every person is known and respected and where differing needs are acknowledged, accepted and met. our setting will be positive, safe and stimulating environment so our children will become independent, curious and resilient learners. the children will be courageous and take risks to challenge themselves and each other. We want our children to be happy, healthy, creative and confident with high self-esteem and self-worth. all children will have a voice, feel heard and know that they can make a difference!

What we can offer your child
We believe Longoak Preschool will provide your child with a well rounded and achievable curriculum where children are encouraged to learn in a way that is best for them to give them the best start to their educational journey. We have a fun, friendly and passionate team that will provide each child with care and attention, opportunities to talk about the things that are important to them, support each child to benefit from all the activities and resources that are provided in the setting as well as nurturing the children so they are able to recognise and understand their feelings through the help of The Colour Monster!

Below are our core opening times, we can offer flexible start and finish times to fit around your childcare needs. (9 am starts are subject to availability and will need to be arranged in advance)
